Question special

Today is the last day of this NEJM forum. I wanted to thank all the participants, especially the experts who took time out of their busy schedules to teach us a few things about the ICU.

To conclude this forum, I would like to ask you your opinions about the future of the ICU. We are bound to see a lot more POCUS, mechanical circulatory support devices, and certain ICUs such as cardiac may see changes in their team structures, too (with the addition of cardiac intensivists or intensivist + cardiologist teams). What else do you forsee in the future about the ICU and how can one prepare for it?
