Many models of wellness & resiliency focus on the the behaviors of the physician. Are you caring for yourself? Are you eating, resting, exercising, taking time out of work for the nicer things in life? I call this the "yoga approach" - do yoga and avoid burnout! I disagree with it wholeheartedly, along with the premise that any part of being resilient is the responsibility of the trainee or physician. We all know how to take care of ourselves. When we don't do it, it is because of external factors, barriers at work and home that keep us from being "well." What do you think?
