Thank you Galina for getting our discussion kicked off, I'm excited to hear the views of our experts as we learn more about how medical education is changing.

In the NEJM article, Dr. Schwarzstein and Dr. Roberts comment that the movement away from lecture-based learning has been occurring in medical education for more than three decades and there has been scholarship evaluating these models.

I'm interested in hearing more about what evidence we have to support the new pedagogical approaches. How do we know that these models improve student understanding and comprehension? What outcomes are we using to evaluate these models and are there ways to control for variability in teaching style?
