Many of the 3rd year clinical clerkships can be time intensive, at times requiring come to the hospital 6 days of the week and being present for long periods of time. On top of the time spent doing clinical work during a rotation, it is essential that students study to further enhance their understanding of the clinical experience. What suggestions do you have for 3rd students to optimize the time they spend outside of clinical setting? How do they balance studying, handling day to day chores, keeping in touch with family and friends, and maintaining some semblance of a normal life.
