Learning how to design and conduct quality research is an important part of preparing for a career in academic medicine. What recommendations do you have for conducting projects that are meaningful, educational and feasible, given the time constraints of medical students? How can medical students find research projects that resonate with their personal interests, knowing that their career goals may change as they gain more exposure during the course of medical school? And lastly, what aspects of research do you consider when evaluating the research projects of medical students as they apply for residency?
