Hello and welcome to the timely discussion about reasons for vaccine refusals and consequences! Most people have heard about the prior and ongoing measles outbreaks in the US which supports the pro-vaccine stance, as this is a preventable infection, but there is still a strong social push against vaccines. I am excited to discuss this subject and hopefully share evidence based answers for commonly asked questions regarding vaccines.

In an era of anti-vaccination yet pro-health movement, there are numerous extreme and often invalidated views about adverse effects attributed to vaccines which we may address later. However, there are valid concerns raised by parents who are interested in vaccinations but worried about the number of vaccines administered within the first year of life, a vital part of a child's development. Can we start off by addressing reasons for recommending most vaccines within the first year of life?
