A recent study by van der Linden (MMWR Dec 2, 2016) raised concern about Zika-infected infants who did not have microcephaly at birth (although many had other abnormal antenatal or neonatal findings), but who went on to develop microcephaly in the first year of life. What longitudinal studies of Zika-exposed and Zika-infected infants are ongoing to assess growth and neurologic outcomes, and have there been any additional findings to date?
