FOURIER data are welcome in many respects. A modest reduction in CVD is good to see but I guess the key issue for many was the short duration of trial and lack of treatment effect on CVD mortality - is the latter likely real so that different mechanisms /treatments needed in this group of patients with low starting LDLc to lessen CVD mortality - or do the authors consider other data suggest CVD mortality may be reduced in the longer term.
