Often times residents/students have great ideas regarding quality improvement strategies. These are often aimed at improving workflow, reducing the "fat" in daily processes, enhancing communication among members of the medical team or multidisciplinary staff, etc.

Unfortunately, these ideas are relegated to a laundry list of grievances that only surface in emails to program leadership or negative responses on ACGME surveys. How can we turn our ideas into action? How does one get the ball rolling on a QI project? Who should we reach out to (admin, PDs, etc)?
