Hi everyone! I am curious to know a little more about what discussion took place over randomizing programs to each arm of the study BEFORE residency match day. As an applicant last year, I certainly appreciated knowing which programs would be in the "Flex" arm, but does this not introduce selection bias towards the null hypothesis of the study? Though the residency match is by no means a guaranteed process, an applicant who was very passionate about bringing back extended shifts could theoretically rank all of the Flex programs at the top, which would result in overwhelming positive reviews of the experimental schedule.
