I enjoyed reading this NEJM piece and the counterpoint it provided to some of the precision medicine ideas which have been prominently featured in government science initiatives. As a means of bringing our readers up to speed, can you briefly explain how and why a too-narrow focus on precision medicine may be a detriment to public health priorities?
