One piece of advice I've received on a number of occasions is that when considering a specialty, one should pay close attention to what they consider to be the worst (or most mundane) part of it. This could refer to the hours, the paperwork, the bread-and-butter cases, and so on. No matter how exciting one might find the best parts, if the worst aspects are intolerable then that specialty should be ruled out. Do you agree with this advice?
