Thank you to all of the moderators for asking such thoughtful questions and thank you to the experts for their enlightening answers. Going forward into day 3, we will be discussing increasing trust with black patient care.
In, "Goals of Care," Theresa Williamson discusses the lack of black physicians and the inability of nonblack physicians to effectively establish the level of trust required to conduct highly personal conversations regarding end of life care. How can we at the resident level hold our institutions accountable for hiring more black physicians, and what are some steps nonblack doctors can take to establish trust effectively in these time sensitive and emotionally sensitive situations?
