I am really enjoying the opportunity to take part in this discussion and would like to thank the authors for all their answers so far.
Given that RSV bronchiolitis is not a rare presentation to paediatricians during the winter months, and having read the strict diagnostic criteria in the appendix, what was the rationale for asking parents to re-present to a trial site, if their original presentation was to a non-trial site? Is this standard practice in drug trials? Was it for the purpose of uniformity of testing and further management?
