Could the authors share some insights on what it takes to design a good observational study, especially the ones looking at potential treatment -> outcome associations (since we have seen so many of such studies recently)? What are the most common barriers one may encounter when designing an observational study? How can we minimize the chances of missing potential biases in our study (not knowing what we don't know)? Any recommendations for further reading for future aspiring clinician-investigators?
