When performing multiple comparisons, generally the better practice is to adjust confidence intervals so as to reduce the possibility of false positives. Correcting confidence intervals would lead to larger intervals with greater uncertainty as to where true value lies. Why in this case were confidence intervals not adjusted for multiple comparisons when the differences in the individual outcomes were noted in discussion?
