Question special

Drs. Correa and Abdulnour talked about life-long mentorship. However, many trainees do not stay at the same institution or within the same state for medical school, residency, and fellowships. Is there value in continuing a long-distance mentor-mentee relationship, as opposed to developing relationships with new mentors? What would mentorship look like in this context? How might we continue these relationships over time? Have you ever had a mentor-mentee relationship continue to grow despite a physical distance?
