From the perspective of a student, seeking physician mentorship can be intimidating. MDs and MD-PhDs are often incredibly busy! When would you most like to be approached by a potential mentee, and in what kinds of situation would you be most inclined to mentor? For example, are you more interested in mentoring students at a later stage of training? Or, would you look for someone who is interested in a specific field or has a background similar to your own? And, how might we go about assessing this interest for potential mentors?
