Question normal

Without understanding the treatment that the control arm received it is difficult to assess if this study is relevant to a US population. The study writes that IV antibiotics were administered in accordance with guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology, with modifications endorsed by the Danish Society of Cardiology. But the citation is for an article all in Danish. No description of what agents were chosen (if guidelines allow for several options) or how long treatment was given for is provided. Would these regimens have met standard of care (i.e. IDSA guidelines) in the US?
