A huge part of preparing for residency applications during medical school was determining which speciality suited us the best and once we determined that, networking at our own institutions, local seminars, national conferences, etc. During residency, the narrative changes as month by month we aim to determine where we want to focus the rest of our careers in our chosen specialty. What kind of advice would you offer PGY1 physicians who are seeking guidance in developing specialty interests and finding networking opportunities? What kind of circles are useful for first years to join to this effect?
