This forum is such an innovative way of generating conversation, and has already been incredibly informative. While there are many evidence-based online resources for physicians, patients understandably have a much more difficult time obtaining quality health information online. This was highlighted in last week's CGH (Cruz LA et al. 2018 May 22) in which a review was done demonstrating low quality and readability of online information on irritable bowel syndrome. Similar studies have been done for inflammatory bowel disease (Inflamm Bowel Dis 2009; 15:1891) and colorectal cancer screening (CGH 2017; 15:79).
My question for the experts is simple: what online resources do you recommend for your patients?
