NEJM Trainee Course Application Information
Welcome! The New England Journal of Medicine is offering a two-week elective course for trainees and fellows PGY3 and higher who seek a deeper understanding of how a peer review journal works and editors make their decisions about publishing papers in the medical literature.
This is a full-time course containing:
- Journal clubs
- Attendance at editors’ meetings
- Reading and writing assignments
- Individual discussions/mentoring with deputy editors
The course will be held May 6 – 17, 2019 at the NEJM editorial offices in Boston.
Participants who are not within driving distance of Boston will be responsible for their own travel and housing. You must be present for the entire two weeks of the course.
We will choose eight participants at random from amongst the qualified candidates. There will be no more than one participant per training program.
The deadline for receipt of applications is January 14th.
All applicants will be notified at the email associated with their NEJM Resident 360 profile by February 4th.
