Dr. Areo Saffarzadeh is a Cardiothoracic Surgery Resident at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He completed his MD at and MS in Biomedical and Translational Science from UC Irvine. He is currently completing his masters in Educational Multimedia at Cal Poly Pomona. Areo is interested in resident, medical student, and patient education. He is an advisory board member for Pocket Anatomy which develops iOS apps for medical education. He has created medical education content for McGraw-Hill, and his YouTube channel covering medical education topics has over 2.5 million views worldwide.
Jacob Radparvar is a second-year medical student at Tufts University School of Medicine pursuing his MD/MBA degree. He currently serves as the Vice Chair for the American Medical Association - Medical Student Section's Committee on Health Information Technology. He is passionate about the impact technology has on medicine.
As an MD/MBA candidate, Jacob plans to gain a well-rounded understanding of the business and economics of healthcare, so that he can partake in global health policy initiatives that decrease the cost of healthcare while increasing its efficiencies.
