    Gabriella Herrera is a medical student from Tracy, California. She graduated with Bachelors Degree in Neurobiology and a minor in Ethnicity, Migration, and Rights. She is now completing her third year at Harvard Medical School, with plans to pursue a Medicine residency and focus on Latinx and community health. She will be taking a year off to begin the Masters degree program at Harvard's School of Public Health on the Social and Behavioral Sciences track. She intends to use these studies to have a deeper understanding of the social determinants of health, design and evaluate health interventions, and create space in the clinical setting that will help empower the Latinx community.

    Aurian García González is a fourth year MD/PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, where she is focused on understanding the evolution of gene regulatory networks. Aurian received a dual Bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology and Mathematics from the University of Puerto Rico, where she graduated with the highest honors. Since moving to Massachusetts, she has been committed to helping recruit and train successfully minorities interested in pursuing careers in science and medicine by collaborating with organizations around the city of Worcester and mentoring high school and undergraduate students. To advance the latter goals, Aurian has participated in health fairs, student panels, networking and mentoring events in conjunction with the Massachusetts Hispanic Medical Association, in which she serves as liaison between that organization and UMass Medical School students. Aurian is interested in becoming a physician-scientist within academia. Her outside interests include theater, dancing and making her grandmother's recipes.
