Colleen Farrell is a fourth year medical student at Harvard Medical School. She is a graduate of Williams College and was previously a bioethics research assistant at The Hastings Center in Garrison, NY. She is a two-time guest editor of the American Medical Association Journal of Ethics, a member of the Student Leadership Committee of the Harvard Center for Primary Care, and a violinist with the Longwood Symphony Orchestra, Boston’s medical community orchestra. She is taking an additional year of medical school to pursue creative nonfiction writing under the mentorship of Dr. Suzanne Koven, Writer in Residence at the Massachusetts General Hospital. Colleen's interests include primary care, medical humanities and bioethics, medical education, and mental health and wellbeing in medical trainees. She plans to pursue residency in primary care internal medicine.
