David E. Leaf, MD, MMSc, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and a full-time faculty member in the Division of Nephrology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Pennsylvania, medical school at New York University, residency in Internal Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center/New York Presbyterian Hospital, and fellowship at the Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital Joint Nephrology Fellowship Program. He also completed a Masters in Medical Sciences (MMSc) Degree in Clinical Investigation at Harvard Medical School. He is an NIH-funded clinical investigator with a focus on clinical trials in acute kidney injury. In particular, he is interested in the role of dysregulated mineral metabolism and iron in acute kidney injury.
Kathy Travnicek, MD, is a physician at the Pain Institute of Nevada in Las Vegas, Nevada. She did her PMR residency at The Johns Hopkins Hospital and worked as a general PMR physician for 2 years. She then went back into training and completed an anesthesia based pain fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic where she was also voted chief fellow. She now works in a solo physician practice but has experience in a large multi-speciality group and equity firm owned medium sized group in a single specialty. She is always happy to help!
