Stephanie Brosius is a 7th year student in the Medical Scientist Training Program at University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed her doctorate in the Neuroscience Theme, where she investigated the role of the Schwann cell mitogen neuregulin-1 in the pathogenesis of malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumors. She obtained her BA from Washington University in St. Louis in Biochemistry. Following graduation, she plans to pursue a residency in child neurology. Her ultimate goal is to combine her passion for research, clinical practice, and teaching via a career in academic medicine.
Stephanie also serves as Chair of the Public Relations Committee for the American Physician Scientist Association (APSA), a student-run organization dedicated to the advancement of physician-scientists in training.
