Dr. Thomas C. Crawford is a seasoned integrated healthcare (hospitals and physician practices) executive (President/CEO/COO) and decorated collegiate educator (three excellence in teaching awards) that has consistently delivered collaborative accomplishments within physician networks, hospitals, medical centers, and within an alliance framework. His exceptional proven successes developing system-wide strategic initiatives contributed to enhanced market positioning, bottom-line profitability/growth, advanced clinical and financial performance, enhanced the quality and safety of the care delivered, and improved clinician and employee morale contemporaneously. Mr. Gans is a national authority on medical practice operations and health systems for the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA), the national association for medical practice leaders. He is an educational speaker, authors a monthly column in the Association journal, and is a resource on all areas of medical group practice management. His work focuses on current issues of importance to medical practice executives including: Patient safety and quality Administrative simplification, cost efficiency, and the dissemination of best practices Information technology Preparing physicians and their practices for health care reform, value based payment, and a transformed health delivery system.
Mr. Gans has served on the MGMA staff for over 30 years. His prior positions included: Vice President Innovation and Research; Director Practice Management Resources; Director Survey Operations; and Research Project Manager. He has authored over 125 journal articles, co-authored three books on medical practice management, and was the principal investigator on numerous federal and foundation grants. In addition to his responsibilities for the Medical Group Management Association Mr. Gans has appointments as: Member, Board of Trustees, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) Institute for Quality Improvement Member, Technical Expert Panel, Surveys On Patient Safety Culture, Department of Health and Human Services Agency for Health Research and Quality (AHRQ) Affiliated Faculty, Institute of Rural Health, Idaho State University Mr. Gans received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from the University of Notre Dame, a Master of Science in Education degree from the University of Southern California, and a Master of Science in Health Administration degree from the University of Colorado. Mr. Gans retired from the United States Army Reserve in the grade of Colonel, is a Certified Medical Practice Executive and a Fellow in the American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Jennifer Feddersen has worked within HR for 19 years, management for 20+ years and in physician recruitment/relations for the last ten years with Henry Ford Health System. Jennifer is Manager of Henry Ford Medical Group Physician & Henry Ford Health System (HFHS) Executive and Advance Practice Provider (APP) Recruitment. Jennifer oversees employed physician, executive and APP recruitment for the System, which includes six hospitals, 30+ medical centers, and over 28,000 employees throughout Southeastern Michigan. Jennifer oversees the sourcing, screening, interviewing, employment offers, relocation, onboarding and orientation for the position titles of Vice President and above, including all C-Suite positions, the 1,200-physician member Henry Ford Medical Group, and 400+ APPs at HFHS. Jennifer is the President of the Michigan Recruitment & Retention Network, Vice President of Research for the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (ASPR), and holds certification as a Professional in Human Resources in SHRM and a Fellow of the ASPR. Jennifer sits on the Advisory Board of LocumTenens.com (2013-2016), the Council for Medical Opportunities in Michigan (2014- 2016) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management. Jennifer graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Development. She obtained her Masters of Science in Management from Walsh College and graduated Cum Laude. In her free time Jennifer has been actively involved with Big Brother/Big Sister and coaches Little League Baseball, Basketball, and Flag Football teams.
Dr. Hochron co-founded and is the Chief Medical Officer of Uniphy Health. Stuart received his MD degree from New York Medical College, his JD degree from Rutgers Law School, founded several medical group practices, represented physicians and hospital organizations as a health care attorney and serves as Clinical Professor in the Department of Medicine at UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School. His company, Uniphy Health, provides software communication technology to healthcare systems. Stuart’s approach to mobile technology has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Journal of mHealth, Healthcare IT News, the Healthcare Financial Management Association, the American College of Healthcare Executives, the New York eHealth Collaborative, and mHealthNews.
Mr. Milliron is a Director in HealthCare Appraiser’s Colorado office. His practice focuses on the analysis of healthcare provider compensation relationships and business valuations. Mr. Milliron brings more than 14 years of healthcare industry experience including hospital service line planning, hospital-physician alignment, and payer strategy. Mr. Milliron earned his Master of Business Administration and a certificate of Health Sector Management from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and he completed his Bachelor’s degree at Colorado State University with a major in Economics. He is a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA). Mr. Milliron has expertise in the following aspects of healthcare valuation: Physician employment and independent contractor agreements; Professional services and management agreements; Hospital-based specialty collections guarantees and subsidies; Medical director/thought leader compensation; Compensated call coverage; Business valuation of physician practices/clinics, ambulatory surgery centers, imaging centers and hospitals/hospital departments
Craig is the Senior Vice President of Recruiting and Vice President of Training and Public Relations for Pinnacle Health Group (PHG). Craig came to PHG with healthcare experience in both patient care and physician recruiting. For the past ten years, he has been responsible for the recruitment training for all of Pinnacle Health Group’s companies/divisions; including their Philippines-based call center.
Craig’s knowledge of healthcare recruitment comes from nearly 25 years in the healthcare industry. He spent the first 4 years of his career in patient care and the remaining decades focused on recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers. Further, Craig serves on the Board of Directors for National Association of Physician Recruiters; where for over 5 years he served as the Education Chairperson. He currently holds the position of Immediate Past President for the organization.
As a full-time recruiter, Craig recruited to small rural communities, complex healthcare systems as well as large academic institutions. He has recruited advanced practice providers, primary care physicians, subspecialists, medical directors and faculty physicians.
Craig holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA.
Craig is a frequent speaker and facilitator at national and regional conferences in the areas of recruitment and employment trends. He is also adjunct faculty for the University of Phoenix where he teaches Business Ethics, Business Theory and other undergraduate management courses.

Laura is the Director of Physician Recruitment for NewYork-Presbyterian. Laura was invited to develop an in-house physician recruitment program in early 2016, which would serve as a strategic partner with both the medical group and the academic centers. The strategic alliance will assist the main academic campuses, and the regional hospital network, provide high quality healthcare to patients throughout the NY metropolitan area. With roots dating back to 1771, New York-Presbyterian is one of the most comprehensive healthcare delivery systems in the US, New York City-based New York-Presbyterian is routinely recognized as a leader in medical education, research and clinical care. Prior to her new role at New York-Presbyterian, Laura was responsible for the development and direction of in-house Physician Recruitment programs for healthcare organizations from coast to coast: HIP Health Plan, Kaiser Permanente, Lifetime Health Medical Group, Atlantic Health System, the Alaska Native Medical Center, the US Army at Fort Huachuca, AZ and Northwell Health (formerly North Shore-LIJ). As a charter member of the Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (www.aspr.org), a faculty member of the ASPR fellowship program, past Chair of both Education and JASPR Committees, and currently ASPR President, Laura has played an integral role as an industry leader in both ASPR and the in-house physician recruitment industry.
