    Suzanne Koven, M.D. M.F.A. is a primary care physician and writer in residence in the Division of General Internal Medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. She is an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Koven leads literature and medicine and narrative medicine workshops for nurses, doctors, social workers, therapists, medical students, and hospital administrators. Her columns, essays and reviews have appeared in The Boston Globe, The New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, The Los Angeles Review of Books, The Virginia Quarterly, Psychology Today, New and many other publications. She contributes the interview column "The Big Idea" to The Rumpus. Her first book, Say Hello to a Better Body: Weight Loss and Fitness for Women Over Fifty, appeared in 2012 and she is currently working on a medical memoir. @SuzanneKovenMD
