Sarah Alsamarai is a fourth year medical student at Tulane University School of Medicine. She is a cum laude graduate of Boston College, where she majored in Philosophy and focused her studies on Bioethics. Following graduation, she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship from the US Department of State in Amman, Jordan, researching access to medications for chronic diseases among the refugee population. She continued her interest in Public Health at Harvard School of Public Health, earning a Masters of Science in Environmental Health, where she had the opportunity to study in Limassol, Cyprus and Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Sarah's interests include health and human rights, writing, and access to healthcare for underserved populations locally and abroad.
