    J. Bradley Segal is a fourth year medical student at Harvard Medical School where he is a dual-degree MD/Master of Bioethics candidate. Brad attended the University of California, San Diego where he doubled majored in Philosophy and Physiology/Neuroscience. He was a Student Fellow at the Petrie-Flom Center at Harvard Law School and a Fellow with FASPE (Fellowships at Auschwitz for the Study of Professional Ethics).

    Mafalda Barbosa received her MD from the University of Porto (Portugal). During her residency in Medical Genetics she focused her research and clinical efforts on the diagnosis, follow up, treatment, and counseling of patients and families with genetic disorders. Dr. Barbosa is certified by the Portuguese College of Medical Genetics. In addition, Dr. Barbosa served as a Clinical Genetics teaching assistant in the medical schools of University of Porto and University of Minho. She has also been the recipient of awards and fellowships, including the prestigious joint doctoral fellowship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology. This award brought her to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she is currently a PhD candidate with Professor Andrew J. Sharp. Dr. Barbosa is affiliated with the Mindich Child Health and Development Institute and the Seaver Autism Center for Research and Treatment, where she continues her work on the characterization of genetic and epigenetic factors underlying neurodevelopmental disorders and multiple congenital anomalies.
