Olivia graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2021 and is now a PGY1 Internal Medicine resident at the University of Connecticut. Olivia has been a long-time member of the research team at The New England Center for Stroke Research and is continuing her research endeavors as a member of the Clinical Research Track at UConn. Her interests include medical education and clinical research and she hopes to combine these facets of healthcare as she persues a career in critical care.
Dr. George Koshy Vilanilam received a medical degree from Christian Medical College, India where he also received training in Neurological Surgery. He completed postdoctoral training in Nanomedicine, Neuroradiology, and Vascular Neurology, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in Machine Learning in Cancer Biology, at the Mayo Clinic in Florida. He began a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, Little Rock, AR with a goal of pursuing academic Neurointerventional Radiology.
He has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles and has over 60 presented abstracts. He has a strong interest in medical student and international medical graduate (IMG) mentorship for residency, IMG advocacy, and resident education. He was also recently awarded a pilot grant to study resident burnout. Dr. Vilanilam has directly mentored over 100 residency applicants, and indirectly guided over 600 medical students and IMGs over the last three years. His diverse background and experience have served well in relating to residency applicants from a variety of backgrounds.
In his free time, Dr. V enjoys traveling and swimming. He is also an amateur photographer and enjoys drone photography.
Zaid is a cardiology fellow at the Brigham and Women's hospital.
Michael Maguire, MD, MPH, received his medical degree and masters in public health from the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine and completed his residency training at Jefferson Medical College's Combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program at Christiana Care Health System and A.I. DuPont Hospital for Children where he stayed as faculty and is Education Lead of Global Health and Pilot Initiatives at Christiana. Additionally, he currently serves as Past-Chair of the Organization of Resident Representatives to the Association of American Medical Colleges and works with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education in the education sector focusing on Chief Camps and leadership development. In addition to clinician wellbeing his interests include medical education and professional identity formation in the context of the learning environment, public and global health, and health equity,
