Avital Perry, MD, is a PGY-7 resident at Mayo Clinic Rochester. Originally from Israel, Avital was an undergraduate student athlete on the track and field team at the University of Maryland College Park. After completing her undergraduate studies, she served for two years in the Israeli Defense Force, then returned stateside to attend Yale School of Medicine. She spent her PGY-5 research year working on a Master of Public Health in Disaster Medicine at Tel Aviv University and is presently completing an in-folded fellowship in skull base neuro-oncology. Her interests include skull base, global health and education as well as the role of neurosurgery in disaster management, with particular attention to the medical contexts of terrorism and war.
Dr. Hasegawa is a Japanese board-certified neurosurgeon and an International Neurosurgery Fellow at Mayo Clinic.
