Dr. Ching-Fen, Shen is a pediatric infectious disease specialist in National Cheng Kung University Hospital, Tainan, Taiwan. Her research interest is respiratory tract infection and adenovirus infection.
Dr Penner is a clinical fellow in paediatric infectious diseases. A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Canada he went on to complete an MSc in Tropical Medicine and International Health at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. International clinic work throughout residency includes time spent in Nairobi Kenya at the UofM/University of Nairobi collaboration on STI/HIV and in the Philipines through the Mekati Medical Centre/UofM collaboration on TB and respiratory diseases. Specific interests include: healthcare delivery in Ingidenous populations, parasitology, and antimicrobial stewardship.
Dr. Robin Basu Roy is an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, whose research focuses on childhood tuberculosis.
Prior to coming to LSHTM in March 2019, he worked as a Clinical Lecturer in Paediatrics at the University of Oxford for two years with Professor Andrew Pollard.
His Imperial College PhD research was into paediatric immunity to M. tuberculosisinfection using epidemiological, functional, cellular and molecular techniques to explore protection against tuberculosis. This was under the supervision of Professor Beate Kampmann and conducted at MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM.
