Seth Waltz has been working with physicians to help them better plan their personal finances since entering the industry in 2002. He has worked exclusively with Baystate Financial since 2007 and has been an active member of the Baystate MD partnership program with the Massachusetts Medical Society since 2014.
Seth's mission is to assist individual physicians and their families in defining their financial goals and achieving financial freedom. His goal is to become a lifelong resource to his clients, and is dedicated to assisting them through the various stages of their lives. At Baystate Financial, Seth is able to utilize the team approach and draw upon the wealth of knowledge of his colleagues to create custom financial strategies for his clients. As a Financial Planner, Seth's areas of concentration include investments, retirement and estate planning, specialty disability insurance for physicians, life insurance, and qualified/retirement plans for private practices.

Seth earned his Bachelor's Degree from the Whittemore School of Business & Economics at the University of New Hampshire with a dual focus in Accounting and Finance.

Tom grew up in a medical family and joined Physicians Insurance at the MMS in 2011 after a diverse 30 year career including offshore oil exploration, federal law enforcement, and commercial insurance roles. Since 2004 he has been involved primarily with the insurance needs of New England physicians from solo practitioners to multi-hospital health systems. Tom is a member of the Professional Liability Underwriters Society, and has been involved with MSHRM, HFMA and MA/RI MGMA. Over the past five years, Tom has regularly presented on Medical Malpractice topics including at UMASS and Tufts, and has been an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Bryant University School of Health Sciences from 2016-2018. Since 2019 Tom has been involved in executive education at the Sloan School -MIT.
Jose Rivera Espada is the director of financial aid at the Indiana University School of Medicine, a 9-campus allopathic medical school within the state of Indiana with over 1500 medical students. His experience includes working at Butler University as an assistant director of financial aid and as a financial aid counselor at the Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. He has served on various committees at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) as well as within state and regional financial aid organizations. He speaks regularly on financing a medical education throughout the state of Indiana at colleges and universities. Additionally, he conducts financial planning workshops at medical school summer programs throughout the United States. He earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University and worked toward a master’s degree in music education before finding financial aid as a profession. His 30-plus years in the medical school financial aid field has revealed many financial literacy shortcomings among medical students. He has been voted as the most outstanding staff member for 29 years straight by his medical students and was recently mentioned by the LCME Reaccreditation site visitors as one of three bright spots at the medical school. In 1992, he helped create the Evening of the Arts with a couple of medical schools that showcases medical student talents where the profits of the program go toward the funding of the student's outreach clinic and homeless shelters. He performs regularly with small professional choral ensembles in the Indianapolis area.
Brandon Barfield is a co-founder of DWOQ, and is nationally known as student loan expert for graduate health professions. Since 2011, Brandon has given over 500 loan repayment presentations for schools, hospitals, and medical conferences across the country. and is regularly requested to present at some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions. He also serves as a consultant for hospitals looking to incorporate loan repayment into their recruitment strategies and compensation packages.
Brandon’s background includes student financial aid, financial planning, and he’s a US Army veteran. He has a degree in Finance as well as an MBA. With his diverse background in financial aid, financial planning and student loan advisory, Brandon has a broad understanding of the intricacies surrounding student loans, loan repayment strategies, and how they should be considered when physicians make other financial and career decisions.
Jason DiLorenzo is the Founder of Doctors Without Quarters, a national student loan advocacy organization. Since 2010, he has served as an expert lecturer and panelist for schools, hospitals and partners on the increasingly complex and evolving topic of student loan debt best practices and federal loan legislation.
Jason graduated with a BBA in Finance from Stetson University, and serves on the Board of his local Boys & Girls Club. Dr. Kiame Mahaniah is the CEO of Lynn Community Health Center. His main professional interests lie in the pursuit of a social just model of leadership, both in the institutions in which he works and the community in which those institutions are located. He is an ardent student of Lean.
His clinical interests are the integration of SUD treatment within primary medical and behavioral health care as well as teaching medical students about the integration of compassion, self- and professional development.
He is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine, and has been presenting a lecture on "Money and Medicine" to medical students for over a decade. He sees financial well-being as intimately connected to sense of self, perceptions of success and integral to the pursuit of social justice at a personal and institutional level.
He is husband, a father of two, an avid reader and unrepentant soccer player.
