    Nicholas Chiu is a medical student at Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). He graduated summa cum laude from Boston University with degrees in Medical Science and Economics and obtained a Master's of Public Health in Quantitative Methods at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Nicholas has research experience in hematology/oncology as well as cardiology  (Full List: https://goo.gl/L5wdOF).

     

    Nicholas served as the Student President of the Boston University School of Medicine Chapters for the American Medical Association (AMA) and Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) respectively, and is a voting student member on the New England Journal of Medicine Committee on Publications. In addition to clinical medicine, Nicholas is passionate about health policy and clinical research and has authored successful health policy resolutions on safe injection facilities and various public health issues that have been adopted at both the state and federal levels by the MMS and AMA.

     

    Ultimately, Nicholas hopes to practice medicine while concomitantly pursuing his passion for clinical research and evidence-based health policy.
