Ivana is a psychiatry resident at Brigham and Women's Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital in Boston. Her interests are in medical ethics and medical education, especially with respect to the inclusion of arts and humanities into medical training. She served as the editor-in-chief of Third Space, Harvard Medical School's student-run journal of literature and the arts for 4 years. Her poems have been published in Blood and Thunder, The Healing Muse, Journal of General Internal Medicine, The Rising Phoenix Review, Tuesday Magazine, and elsewhere. She is a firm believer that art can help us heal past traumas and strengthen our resilience and goodwill.
Sam is a hospitalist at New York Presbyterian, and a health policy researcher at Weill Cornell, focusing on delivery science and innovation. She graduated with a dual MD-MBA degree from Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, and completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Michigan.
