    Jennifer Joe, MD, is a Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) nephrology graduate turned physician entrepreneur CEO and Founder of Medstro.com, a new and innovative social network for physicians, whose clients include The NEJM Group and Google, among others. Dr. Joe still regularly works the VA emergency room and urgent care clinics. As Editor-in-Chief of MedTech Boston and being based in Kendall Square, arguably the physical collision point of technology and academic medicine, Dr. Joe interacts and supports new medicalinnnovation and technology and has insights on best uses. In this role, she has been a mentor at the Massachusetts General Hospital-Samsung-MIT Hacking Medicine and the Tufts Medstart hackathons in the last year. She was a judge of this year’s athenahealth More Disruption Please hackathon and the Office of the National Coordinator Market R&D Pilot Challenge. Because of her insights, Dr. Joe has spoken at South by Southwest, South by Southwest V2V, Health 2.0, the Mass Medical Society EHR Conference, IN3 Medical Device 360, and the Mass TLC Healthcare Conference. Dr. Joe is also a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society Committee on IT and Committee on Communications and is the Massachusetts American College of Physicians Information Officer.

    Dr. Ostrovsky is a practicing physician and social entrepreneur who co-founded Care at Hand. He continues to lead Care at Hand’s executive management and strategic vision since its acquisition by Mindoula Health. 

    He has led teams at the World Health Organization, United States Senate, and San Francisco Health Department toward health system strengthening through technology. Andrey has contributed to legislation at the city and national level to advance care delivery for vulnerable populations. And he serves on several boards and committees dedicated to interoperability standards, quality improvement, and innovation including the National Quality Forum, Office of the National Coordinator (ONC), and the National Transitions of Care Coalition (NTOCC), among others. He is a published researcher in quality improvement, healthcare innovation, and care coordination. 

    Andrey holds a Medical Doctorate and undergraduate degrees in Chemistry and Psychology Magna cum Laude, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Andrey completed his pediatrics residency training in the Boston Combined Residency Program at Boston Medical Center and Boston Children's Hospital where he was a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. He is teaching faculty and attending physician at Children's National Medical Center.

  • Ned T. Sahin, PhD, is the founder and CEO of Brain Power, LLC - an academically-flavored neuro-technology company focused on transforming wearables like Google Glass into neuro assistive devices to empower the autism community. Located in Cambridge, with research from Harvard, MIT, and MGH, Dr. Sahin and his team have created the Brain Power System, which equips individuals all across the autism spectrum with tools to teach themselves important life skills to work toward happy self- sufficiency. Dr. Sahin completed his undergraduate studies at Williams College, in biology and neuroscience, studied for a year at Oxford, and did a Master’s at MIT in the Brain and Cognitive Sciences department. During grad school, he maintained a collaboration and physical presence at the Massachusetts General Hospital in the Martinos Biomedical Imaging Center. Dr. Sahin completed his PhD at Harvard in cognitive neuroscience and fulfilled a postdoctoral fellowship at UC San Diego Medical School. Dr. Sahin’s research has been published in Science magazine and Nature Neuroscience, and has been widely covered in numerous press outlets, such as CBS News, Autism Speaks, and TechCrunch, for his cutting-edge, humanitarian work with new technology and science. He has been invited to speak in many universities and conferences all across the world, including at the United Nations and Google.

    David is a psychiatrist in the Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean residency program. He is interested in combining the speed of entrepreneurship with the rigor of academia. During his time at Harvard Medical School and Harvard Business School, he worked for Fidelity Biosciences (a biotech venture capital), and founded and sold a medical education company. He is currently a co-founder of Valera Health, a funded mental health startup that leverages smartphone data, case management, and tele-psychiatry to optimize mental health delivery. Valera has signed multiple contracts and forged partnerships with renowned academic medical centers. David is passionate about making the practice of medicine less reactive, and more preventative.

    Alexi Gharib Nazem, MD, MBA, is the co-founder and CEO of Nomad Health, the first online marketplace for freelance clinical work. In addition to leading Nomad, he is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell in New York. Alexi trained in internal medicine at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston after receiving his medical degree from Yale and his business degree from Harvard.     Professional Experience: Dr. Silobrcic has over 25 years of healthcare experience.  He is a seasoned professional, with clinical background as a physician, and extensive experience at the forefront of strategy, operations and services and technology management. 

    Dr. Silobrcic is the Chief Strategy and Development Officer for Burgess Group, a healthcare IT solutions (data, software, services) company.  He is leading the growth and diversification of this successful, niche venture into new industry partnerships, product lines and markets. 

    Until spring of 2015, he was Executive Director of Healthbox, where he focused on Boston/the Northeast. Healthbox (www.healthbox.com) is a leading platform for healthcare innovation, and drives actionable collaboration between technology entrepreneurs, the healthcare industry, and investors, in building a global community dedicated to driving change in healthcare.

    Previously, Dr. Silobrcic was Associate Partner, Strategy and Senior Medical Scientist, Care Delivery Systems, at IBM Research, where he used his deep healthcare industry expertise to help lead a market-focused research agenda that created high value solutions for IBM, providing transformative value to clients and health systems, globally. This included work on IBM’s Health and Wellness solutions for Smarter Cities and Communities, and on advanced healthcare analytics and decision support solutions, including the applications of IBM's breakthrough Watson (cognitive computing) technology.

    Formerly, he was an Associate Partner in strategy, operations and change management with major global professional services (consulting) firms, Deloitte Consulting and IBM Global Business Services. Previous to and between those roles, he was a senior executive with or advisor to various healthcare ventures, including a number of healthcare information technology startups.

    As leader, he has led organizations/teams, various programs, projects and intellectual capital development efforts, as well as leadership development and assessment initiatives. 

    As executive, he has held senior roles (including as CEO) in healthcare technology and services entities, with responsibilities in general management, business development, operations and financial management, people management, etc.  

    As consultant/advisor, he has worked with leading private and public sector healthcare providers, payers and life sciences entities, specializing in strategy, governance, operations management/redesign, organizational transformation and change management, quality management, etc.  He has also assisted a number of young healthcare technology and services companies in diverse aspects of their development and management, and acted as healthcare industry/technology advisor to a prominent investment network.

    As clinician, he has provided patient care as a primary care physician.

    As educator, he has developed and taught management courses for physician executives, with a particular focus on quality management and improvement, at Harvard University; as researcher, he has authored presentations, publications and case management studies, and holds several patents.
