    Michael Guo is currently an MD/PhD student pursuing his PhD at Harvard Medical School/Boston Children’s Hospital/Broad Institute. He is originally from Florida and graduated from the University of Michigan in 2010 with degrees in Business Administration and Cellular and Molecular Biology. Following college, he entered the MD-PhD program at the University of Florida. In order to pursue his research interests in human genetics, he is completing his PhD studies at Harvard. For his dissertation work, he studies common and rare genetic variation underlying human anthropometric traits (e.g., height, BMI) and pediatric endocrine disorders. He is passionate about the application of genomics in health, in particular the role that genetics can play in elucidating the underlying causes of disease. Michael also currently serves as President of the American Physician Scientists Association (APSA), a student-run organization dedicated to the advancement of physician-scientists in training.
